This charge is for a call out for a refrigeration engineer. It is Fully refundable in the event that the engineers report states that the fault is due to a manufacturer defect. This is only applicable if you purchased a 2-year parts and labour warranty from us and we installed your equipment.
We use independent engineers, that cover the UK Mainland.
If the fault investigation is related to user error or misuse including but not limited to the following issues, then the call out will be chargeable to the customer;
Any faults which occurs due to poor installation or misuse of the equipment.
Repair of, or interference with the equipment by any person(s) not authorised by the manufacturer. For example: 3rd party engineers
Any parts which are fitted to the equipment which are not original manufacturers parts.
Operation at incorrect voltage.
The result of using this machine for any purpose other than those described in the instruction manual.
Site ambient conditions too high or too low in temperature.
Not cleaning / servicing the equipment / failure caused by mineral, lime scale or algae deposits.
If no issue is found on assessment of the equipment the call out will be charged
Please note in some cases the charges may be more or less than the standard deposit of £140. Any and all charges will be forwarded and due immediately and a full service report and invoice supplied after the engineer visit, if necessary.
Please note: we cannot book an engineer until all of the above steps have been completed and warranty requests will not be processed until card details are received. Engineers will aim to attend within 72 working hours. All engineer visits are between 8AM and 6PM Mon-Fri. Time specific appointments are not available.
